Well I don't have much to say but figured to keep it documented a little id add a few lines here.

I am now on the clock on the ProCharger purchase. Excited and hopeful everything works out. A extremely nice Raidmagic has offered his time to help me acquire the used ProCharger I found. Turned out its suppose to be fairly local to him. I didn't like the idea of sending cash to a complete stranger in hopes that I get a ProCharger back. So this morning I overnighted the money to Raidmagic. I sincerely do appreciate his volunteering to go meet the guy, and if the ProCharger is ok, purchasing it for me and shipping it home. I wish I was wealthy and could just buy new stuff to go faster. Reality is I have to scrape and dig to get what I can to make a hotrod. Raidmagic just want you to know I am very grateful and if I can return the favor some way let me know. I will sure try.

It is a older D3M model. Supposedly a solid model not known for issues. Several things I did like about it is it oil fed from the engine. Since I will be street driving it this is supposed to be a better way over the closed oiling system. I just read that I actually have no idea. 🤪 I plan to have a oil cooler in front of it unless I find out its a bad idea. Also I found researching it that it is a nice size for BBC in general. Should support my lofty goals of 1300+HP or so with out a issue. And last is that I contacted ProCharger and they do still service these units so I felt pretty good hearing that. I asked in worst case situation, like if it needed pretty much rebuilt, what it would cost and they said $1800. Knowing what a new unit that can make this ones HP costs Id still be ahead if I had to pay to have it rebuilt. Here are a few pics of what the seller sent me I thought it looked pretty nice.

The other day we did get the Lexan back glass installed. Its not perfect but my shit never is so I consider it a win. I cant afford perfection and wouldnt know what to do with it if I had it. Id be scared to touch it.

I was extremely lucky. I had already seen it was 1600 miles away from me. I wasn't driving that far at the price of fuel to buy it so I had wrote it off. For some odd reason not long after I was reading a thread where Raid commented something about being in central Florida. And it hit me that place where that ProCharger was was central Florida. My gears started turning and I messaged Raid. Even before I asked he offered to check it out for me if I needed his help. After a few days or so I collected on a motor deal and then I begged for him to help. lol We talked and he was great offering right away to check it out. I had no idea he had himself had a ProCharger and so he knew a little about what to look at. How lucky for me is that!
I swear this whole deal is so crazy. Me just reading a random post that showed me he was very close, he has knowledge of ProChargers needed, he volunteered, and he is a strait up good guy. I hope my luck holds. :ROFLMAO:

Turns out my brother who was going to install the cage is to busy. And the one local guy that we know, trust, and can afford cant get to it till October. So I got on the list. Now its going to get more cage than the small one I was originally getting. So that is a positive as far as safer.

In the mean time I had already known I needed more power. 🤪 And have spotted a ProCharger I may be acquiring that is still in the works but if not I may do some turbo(s). Either way I will be getting something to add a little more pep to the old girl. I had already dropped off a block at the machine shop last week and they called today to say it was ready. Cleaned up at .030 so I have a little meat left on the cylinder walls.

Pulled engine from 76 C10 today. Change in plans to make it more streetable and faster at the same time. Already sold the short bock as the large dome pistons aren't really conducive to pump gas. Hell I don't know exactly what I am doing but hopefully it will come together. If I had money Id be dangerous or be like DHRDarren 😝

We had sold the dragster but I didn't sell the smallblock on it. We thought he was going to pull the 350 motor from his current car or drop in a 383 he had sitting on a stand. Turns out he was wanting a bbc. So us discussing building him a motor and then running into parts not in stock, the time frame to build one from scratch, and what ever else it was becoming irritating. I had already been thinking I was wanting some street time with the truck. So it just clicked I could sell him my motor and build me a new one for boost. Had this set of circumstances with the dragster not happened it would still be in my truck.
I just do stupid shit sometimes that at the time seems like the logical thing to do. 🤪 😂 :shrug:
 
Just my luck. Ive been planning to be off Friday to wait for this to arrive. Ever since Raid shipped it Ive tracked it. Its been slow up till yesterday it has shown Seffner FL. As I last checked it was arriving on time Friday but was no new updates on where it was.
I wake up today to 10 yes ten texts from USPS and this thing has went all over Texas. Dallas, Coppell, Greenville, and Paris. At 8:17 this morning I get a text it will be delivered today between 10am and 2pm. Great I have work scheduled through Thursday. So I start notifying my daughter and my brother and sister-in-law that if you see a box coming to the door please sign for it. At 10:10am I get more texts they are backing up from 2pm to 4:15pm so I was great that I might be able to get home by 2 for a little while. At 10:32am I get another text delivery notice was left no one home. 🤬 I have contacted USPS and told them to hold it I will come get it at the PO. Anyway just waiting to get away from work and decided to share how fast they were. Two days earlier than they said.
 
That is such a touching story.....almost brought tears to my eyes.....:cry:

He's sanding the chassis and said there was four or five coats of clear and at least five different colors.
