Thanks for checking fellas. Im doing great. Just a little weak, no taste and no smell still. But ill be fine with time.
I actually worked on the old beater yesterday stripped off some rear parts preparing for 4 link. Removed the bed. Took off shocks and old lakewood bars, along with cutting off spare tire carrier and bump stops.

Did some measurements and discussed a plan with my brother on how we wanted to try and do this. So we are moving forward slowly.

Its here or there or somewhere. :LOL: Covid BS before Christmas then Christmas came and wiped the spare $ out. Took me a few minutes to get back on the saddle after that cash thrashing I took.

Hopefully we will get some welding done on the upper 4 link mounts this weekend and it will be a roller. Then the cage, driveshaft, and some wiring. I have the cage though just needs installed. I do hope to make it this year. But who knows.

I still have that dragster motor to build. The rotating assembly was finished being balanced a week ago but have 2 sets of heads at that shop to be built. One set I am waiting on some titanium valves for. A friend is doing them so I don't rush him and he treats us well on price and does excellent work. Probably have the heads ready for the dragster motor in a week or so and I will go get all of it at once. His shop is a few hours drive away. Then we will go see if we can make total fools of ourselves at the track. šŸ¤”

Ordered them March 25th came in today. But I had coilovers in my order as well so they may have held the axes up, I don't know.
 
Well dang it I knew something was gonna be a miss. My lower coilover mounts are for a 1.50ā€ Spherical Bearing. I had ordered the optional correct Strange Part # S5000KAS that would eliminate any spacers. Well after getting the axels installed I started messing with the coilovers and well what do ya know my luck still holds. I swear I always have to have something go wrong. They did not put the optional 1.50ā€ Spherical Bearing I requested in my shocks. šŸ˜”
 
Talked to Strange this morning about the shock bearings. They are going to send me the correct bearings and new ā€œclipsā€ and I am changing them out. Talking to them there are some ā€œclipsā€ you remove and then press out the bearings and press in the new ones put clips back in and your done.

I suggested this instead of shipping my shocks back and all that. Now I hope I havenā€™t bit off more than I should have. The fella at Strange acted like it wasnā€™t a big deal but then I heard what I took as hints that sometimes these may be a little pain in the ass. Sitting here at work I am wondering if I should have kept my mouth shut and let them fix their mistake. Itā€™s probably nothing but I worry about shit I shouldnā€™t sometimes. Just donā€™t want to mess up a brand new shock.

Have any of you guys ever changed out these bearings before? How did it go?
 
It's easy, pull clips, support shock in a "V" block, press out & reverse to install.
 
Got the new shock bearings in and on today. One snap ring out, pushed bearing out with my finger. Only one new bearing had to have a slight tap to get it in. Put same snap rings back in and that was very easy.


Axle studs installed, axles installed into rearend. Pretty much need some welding done to consider it a roller but it is on the ground again.

I see my stainless brake line kit for the rear disc conversion have been shipped so we are getting closer. šŸ˜‚
