Baller šŸ˜‚ 76' C10 Cheap Toy

That’s the spirit! The way the world is going, we had all better hurry up!
Fuck Yeah !!!!!!
I dig this truck. My Velle is a 50 footer. Rusty fenders and chips n scrapes all over backside. Big dent rear SS bumper. But it’s mine. 1970s lawyer.
ā€œStreet cars with battle scarsā€ TM. we say here.

Look forward to some video.
Patriot I think I sent you a semi prep track pass when it worked 100 percent against cutlass G body. Maybe you can post it please.
A little incentive.

One last thank you to @CCSguy. The second wheel made it today. I mounted some old tires so we could test fit them on the truck.

The big question: Do they fit?

The big question: Do they fit?
No time today maybe tomorrow some attempt. My axles have the studs in the 5x5 pattern. Ill have to pull those out and stick a couple in the pattern for these. Hopefully I can get measurements and maybe the wheels stuck up there where I can tell.

My axles are drilled for 3 patterns but they are all for 1/2" studs. I ordered the 5/8" studs from Moser but I wont have those for a few days and I still have to have my 1/2" holes turned into 5/8" before I could bolt them up where they go.

Well of course I haven't done much. I been lazy doing holiday stuff. But I have the axles out and I did get ahold of the machinist that is going to open the 1/2" holes to the 5/8" size for my studs. I have the new 5/8" stud kit here so that part should be easy. I did try and put a wheel on before I pulled the axles but I didnt have much luck by myself it was difficult to hold it up there and see but I think I am going to have to re do my brakes. The lip they welded on the wheel for the bead lock seems to be hitting my bracket. Ill know for sure when I get the correct studs in the axles. The machinist wasn't doing anything till after the holidays so that is on a stand still.

I did get a set of new sill plates from LMC for Christmas. They appear to be total China junk. They do not line up no matter how you try and put them together. Both sides are like these in this video I made. This is part number 38-2436 from LMC. This is the second item (headlight bezels was the first) I have got from them that I was not pleased with how they fit at all. Does anyone know where else sells these sill plates?

Aren't you doing that backwards? Shouldn't it go under the other one.

Hmm maybe you have a point let me go see......
Aww dammit I hate that when I am the retard. Guess what your correct they lock together just fine now. :banghead:

Glad I didn't talk to much trash. It hasn't been a good day is my excuse. But Thank you for explaining my stupidity without laughing to hard.

Well after work I decided to do a little test fitting. I put the 1/2" studs I had in the 4 3/4" pattern holes and eased the wheel on there. I set my DeWalt drill on 3 I think so it would barely put any pressure on the lug nuts. I was just using the conical style from my other wheels so it would center the wheel on these studs.

Worked great but I have some issues. One is I did have to wiggle it to get the inside bead lock to go over the caliper bracket. I even put the caliper back on and it wiggled over it as well but it is very close. I suspect I will have to do some clearance work on the top of the caliper if it even goes on once I change to the 5/8" studs.

The second issue is the tire just makes contact with the inside of the bed. I still need to put a hat for the disc on there but that wont be enough alone. I was thinking of cheating and trying a spacer but I hate that idea. I just have a thing about spacers even though a lot of folks run them with no issue. Also spacers just push the wheel out more and I prefer the wheel sitting in its normal spacing with the lip of the fender.

Even with the issues these wheels will look great when I get the few small issues taken care of. I may have to do the fender lip roll but I will find out for sure when I get the bed section out of the way and the brake hats on. That is all I did on the wheel subject today.

Two days ago I removed the Lexan back glass and got all the rivets out of the cab. I filed off the rough areas from drilling the holes. scraped all the RTV sealer off and then sanded all the window sealing area clean and smooth. I took some good old Rust-Oleum black paint I had and painted all the area the window rubber was going to cover. Yesterday I took the old back glass and scrubbed it as good as I could and installed it back in the truck. Was not pleased with the rubber gasket as it had a deformed area right at the corner where you walk up to the truck. If I didn't have many other things to do I would get another gasket. For now its just going to have to ride like that.

Add a 2" strip to the wheel well and push that lip deeper into the bed. Easy fix
We actually already secured some wheel wells as we kind a figured this was going to be a issue. We are going to cut them down to just be what we need 2 or 3 inches deep if that. Haven't decided how I am going to mount them though. Could just leave enough of a lip to bolt them in or Dzus them. Or have my brother weld them. Guess we will cross that bridge when I get there.

Just a brief update. I waited 2 weeks for the guy who is re-drilling my axles to take them, he has had them a couple days now. My brother acquired me a set of inner fender wells for the bed. Took him several weeks to get them, I believe he got them in hand last week. I gave him measurements today to cut them down. Will see how long that takes, hopefully not long.
Awhile back I bought a wing for my truck and ended up getting a full length piano hinge instead of the four 2" long ones the kit came with. I cut the piano hinge down and have it mounted to the tailgate but my brother was wanting to make me some better looking spill plates that have yet to be done. I need to see exactly where these will fit or end up so I know what length to cut the main part of the wing down to.
I still have other small stuff inside the truck to clean up but really want to see those wheels on and the wing finished. :p:ROFLMAO:

Wing is done but like usual it always screwes up something else when ya add something. When it goes to the scales he is extending the parachute. Not a huge deal its a simple thing it just adds to the list. As far as the wing I think it looks ok. We may do another set of spill plates as this was the first ones we made. We have enough metal to make 1 more attempt if we want later.
Here its at its highest position.

And here is it at its lowest if I remember correctly.
