Move that data logger switch inside the cab. That's the gayest thing ever having somebody have to activate it from behind the rig because you don't always have somebody and if you put it where you can reach it in the cab you will activate it every time

I have one inside as well. Its funny you mentioned this. It was done just as humor. I told my brother, who will be there with me 99% of the time, I was doing it so he would have something to do and he would look like the cool kids getting to mash it. I did it as a joke between me and him. But it does let him see if I didn't turn it on (it blinks red if its on) if not he can see it and laugh at me screwing up. :larf:

Oh and for the record we did get the transmission in the truck today. I'm planning to work on it tomorrow and see what else I can get done.

Hey any of you have suggestions on a Anti-Roll Bar? Pretty much there are 3 main differences it seems. Four if you count length of arms. A standard 6" arm will be ok on mine so its not a issue.
1. bar size 1 1/2", 1 5/8", vs 2"
2. Delrin bushings vs spherical bearings
3. Billet Steel splined arms vs 4130 weld up steel arms

I'm looking at this one from Rhodes. Its a little overkill and at the top of my budget but I want one that looks decent and is good quality. It has the 2" bar, the spherical bearings, and the billet arms all in one package. Most of the others I looked at at this price point have a smaller bar and or bushing not bearings.

I've looked at and considered these listed below also but I keep coming back to the Rhodes one either for price or it having I believe a little better parts.
I like this TRZ kit with the twin tube setup but it has bushing no bearings. Otherwise its a very close second choice.
I also like this Quarter Max kit its almost identical to the Rhodes but slightly higher price.
This was another one I thought was a good looking one but it didn't come with the Link Kit. Adding the link kit ran me past what I wanted to spend.
Any suggestions, tips, or donations, are welcome. :scheme:

It sounds like your mind is made up and you really like the Rhodes kit. I’ve had a baseline suspension one for years. It has bronze bushings and it’s still tight with no play in it.

I like the TRZ one and even though it has bushings it looks like they made the kit so you can replace them easily. If I want to replace mine, I’d have to cut them out!

No I haven’t made my mind up or I would have ordered one already. :giggle:
I wanted to see what others knew about them and you did. I wondered about how long those bushing might last.

Also you brought up a good point about replacement in the future. The bearings in the Rhodes kits might be a problem down the road if they ever needed replacement. The bushings my machinist could make me some pretty easily if I needed some. :ponda:

Shit, you had me wanting to buy the Rhodes kit, but I saw the price tag and said oh shit!

Yeah its crazy you can get a kit for around $350 that would work but as soon as you get to stepping up the tube size to 2ā€ or bigger all hell breaks loose. But I did want a nice looking one as it will be visible with no floor in the bed. If mine was hidden like under a car I would only care about functionality.

Look up funkhouser race cars on Facebook or IG. Matt Makes some damn nice stuff and we'll make it to whatever you want it to be and guaranteed it will work well.

His prices are very good also

Darren thanks very much for the tip on Funkhouser. :thumbup:He got back to me today and we discussed several things and got to what I wanted.
This is a video he sent me its not exactly what I am getting as he was still deciding what size rod ends he was going to use etc. when he made the video but its basically the same unit I agreed to buy. He said he is about a week and a half out on having everything for me ready to ship. 😊

I’m out having lunch with the wife. I eat like a vacuum, she’s still eating. I saw this thread and while I haven’t watched the video, glad you got what you wanted. Kudos to @DHR Darren for the lead!

Glad to hear it guys, Matt's a good motherfucker and I wouldn't recommend him if I wouldn't run the stuff myself. I think a small shop like that is better for guys like us because we can get exactly what we want even if they have to build it or make some tweaks to a product they have.

I agree and like using small shops. I get personal attention and it’s usually with the owner, or his family. My blow thru carb was from a one man shop, my cage was as well. My transmission guy is a self run shop also. Even my machine shop that does all my engine stuff is a family owned shop i deal with the son in law but if not him its the owner or his wife.

You definitely can get modifications that ordering stuff from Summit or Jegs and the like would not happen. And if you have a question or something you might just need a little help with service with small businesses is generally better. The only one I recall that wast like this was ProSystems. Everyone else has been very helpful.

Worked a little on the truck.
I mounted the trans cooler and the radiator in the bed but need one more fitting for the trans cooler and a -16AN line about 6ft long to finish plumbing the radiator.
Did a little measuring for the drive shaft but wanted to get my brother to help me hold the tape and make absolutely sure I was accurate. The last thing I want to do is order a custom made drive shaft and I screw up the dimensions. Not like Strange is close where I could run it back to them and have it redone.
I'm waiting on a guy to tig me some standoffs for my electrical panel. Hopefully he will get these done today so I can work on the final wiring of the truck.
I plan to get some other odds and ends done tomorrow as well just have to see what happens.

He is boxing up and shipping my ARB today. It looks great to me. It has 1.25" tubes and 7/16" rod ends. Main tube is 2ā€. It didn’t need them that size but I opted for the beefy look as well as strength. Its all visible back there so I thought it couldn’t hurt.
