Just took in a good load, well for me
$428 of copper pipe and wire, mostly wire. Half was mine as we agreed to split it but he did give me the $14 from his half.
Neighbor down the street had the old stuff from his remodeling. All the wire in one tote and a pipe of copper pipe. I cleaned up and sorted it, to try n max things and save time at the scrap yard. Was a good learning experience, since I've only taken in shred steel n a bit of alum so far. Got to try out my $20 amazon wire shears on the copper and a larger wire type. He had several(9) wire types but the yard called them all romex(one they were like idk but meh, then after looking at it, just put it all together But was glad i separated it for them to examine).
I also traded this miter saw stand i found scrapping For some of the better stripping type wire(10g romex) and we also agreed. I'd keep the odds n ends that i separated, for my trouble. Stuff like bare wire ends/connectors, wire with lots of tape or paint and the valves, parts with plastic n bits of brass that need cleaned up. Finicky things I'll put more time into cleaning up this winter or sell as dirty. I got buckets i need to go thru already.
Good find and happy with my part of it. Basically it's equal to the entire amount of romex and copper pipe I've found, in my TEN months of scrapping. So it gives me a good idea of what i have and it's not much. Still as I've said, scrapping is the way for me to get my stamina up and reduce spending what i have. I'm gonna get a real job one of these days.
