Woes with a 2004.5 LLY Dmax repeated P0089 Fuel pressure regulator codes.

Took the turd to doll hair general for some cat food, pull in, back into a spot and head in.
Get about 10 feet in the store and some lady starts yelling at me, I'm thinking great it's on fire.
She actually wanted to know what year it was, her husband was wondering.
Told her and said if he's interested it's for sale(everything has a price, right lol) she asks how much, I said $12.5k
She says hold on I will be right back, I continued on with my shopping and she finds me, says husband wants to talk.
Head out meet her husband, he's looking over the truck and says we were leaving and saw you pull in.
Wanted to know more about it, said it's a good looking truck.
Talked about 30 mins give them my number and headed home.
If it sells, it sells, either way I don't care.

As the famous Steve Miller said......

Take the money & run!!

Gone. Fuck that thing. Flush with cash to purchase my next headache.
Not sure what, but I know this, it won't a Dmax, think I am gonna go back to basics no computer and a carb.

Shout out to SRGN and Madhwag for all the help on this turd.
Gotta get the the collection of spare Dmax parts I have and get it all sold, help recoup some of the money I lost.

Never again, some buds and I were eating out last night and I said the fucker might be gone today and no way in hell
will I own another one. They stopped eating and looked at me like WTF, I just said "fuck that thing" and went back to eating.

Talking to a guy with a 40 Chevy pickup, might go look at it later.

Dont forget about the ol trusty Cummins VE pumped diesels. Even the P7100 ones. Those are the old hotrods of 6bt's.... and fun to wrench on.

Should have never sold the one I had.

But I'm thinking 283 or 327, just enough power to cruise around with.

Also found a 47 Dodge pickup, gotta message the guy and see what he is looking to get for it.
Looks to be pretty decent but the distance between the headlights on the fenders bugs me, too far apart and it looks weird.

I was just wondering what you did with that piece of shit… Now I know lol

Get a P pumped 12v Cummins and shove it in a modern vehicle of your choice. A 24V is simple too, just make sure you keep a good fuel supply to that VP44 and it’ll do fine. I love my 24V, it’s a fuel sipping beast. Only thing I have trouble with is the TPS, they don’t like water, and I’m anal about keeping the engine bay clean. Going to be swapping to a floor board mounted TPS ( from a modern diesel, I have one from a 6.0 PSD I plan to modify to work ).

Buddy of mine just bought a 3/4 ton Suburban, late 90’s. He’s swapping a 12V in it, when he can find one. He’s tired of fuckin with modern diesels, wants something simple.

Went old school... 65 Impala I am gonna see how this goes :D
I did a Cummins swap years ago, wouldn't mind doing another.

O
I have aftermarket for diagnostic, but also use GM GDS for programming and "difficult" vehicles. I pay for access as needed, but usually don't need it for diagnostic. I program 2-3 GM vehicles a week on average. I'm wondering if the latest flash added the capability for flow rates since we're talking about it, or if I'm off a model year on the one I'm thinking about. I do programming and diagnostic as a side business, so I do enough vehicles to mix stuff up in my head.
