Pros and cons. Seems like two or three gallons of race gas comes off cheaper. In my experience the concentrate turns on my check engine light.

I prefer the pump gas/race gas mix. I think I could probably run straight pump gas these days. However, I am more comfortable mixing 1 gallon of 112 with 4 gallons of 93, as a bit of cheap insurance. Never had much confidence in additives. That said, if you are mixing race gas with your pump gas, it better be unleaded race gas. Your catalytic converter(s) will not like lead. Take care. Sounds to me you need to tune out all the emission crap .
But I preferred real race gas not additives

I should be able to run 93 pump gas, but now that I've found 87 non-ethanol I was hoping to mix Torco Accelerator with it.
It would cost quite a bit more than the 93 but the idea gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Interesting. In this area, if you want non-ethanol, it is only gonna be available in the highest octane. That said, I'd still go with unleaded race gas as my mixer with 87 non-ethanol, rather than an additive. Take care. Tom Worthington

I've tested 93 plus torco to get me "100 octane"

It did nothing. The knock sensors still pulled timing at damn near the exact same time during pulls. Forscan had the ability to show me the OAR. If I remember right, the ratio was different for all 3 fuels i tried (93, 93+ torco, ms109) but didn't do squat until I tried ms109. Ms109 was the ticket for me. Gained over 1/4 second in the 1/4 mile in a slow ass 12 second minivan just from fuel.

If you have a mini van that runs a 12 second 1/4 mile , why didn’t you put that engine in the mustang ?

I have dreams of putting that little 2.7L twin turbo in a ford courier with awd. With better charge pipe and intercooler easily dip into the 11s on that go cart
