Mark, I know this is an old post. But could you explain the rules in a little more detail? The grudge stuff is still dinking along down here but this type of racing is becoming more prevalant. My son put his car together for these events. Basically a heads up index race where the index is established before first round some how based off of qualifying times that are not shown even to the drivers.

I will try and give it a shot. They try to keep the cars sort of in reach of the average person. This is where the all steel and all glass comes in along with the stock style suspension. They usually have two ets they use. During time trials they give you your time slip and after time trials they pick one of the two as a cap. The one I remember was either a 5.70 or a 6.00. During eliminations you do not get time slips so they rely on something called a draggy. It is some kind of gps component tied to your phone. It is pretty acurate. They use a pro tree also. If you have other questions, I will try to get an answer.Mark, I know this is an old post. But could you explain the rules in a little more detail?
Do they learn what the index is after qualifying? Or is it still a mystery even during racing?
