What the fuck were they thinking when they designed this transfer case?
I just finished rebuilding one for a customer with a 77 K2500.
It was attached to a TH-350 and weighs 190lbs!
All cast iron!
What a bitch!

Ever "lift" a Muncie SM465 transmission? That is what is in my 1977 Suburban. I can't imagine if they bolted one to one of those transfer cases. Take care. Tom Worthington

Had an SM465/205 in my 79 K20.

*edit, fat fingered a 5 instead of a 6*

I rebuild all of them.
I did a SM465 a while back for a customer.
I specialze in restorations for manual units at our shop.
Seems more and more people wanting just to restore what they got instead of modifying it.
Just did a resto rebuild on a FMX for a mustang. Cast iron center.
