Thank you for all your help.
We had a great time today and you ran well like always. It was great to see Big Dicks car work well & get the mustang working for another new racer.
See ya in 2 weeks!

Thanks!
It was dumping rain on the way down. We had 3-4 rain delays but got the event finished. JP was in the finals again. He can sure drive that Ol Chevelle!

It ran great! I on the other hand am a lil rusty in the dial in department! 🤣
I ran 6.40, 6.90 (no water burnout) and a 6.51 pedaling each pass. I am going to put the slicks on (one of my radials has a flat I noticed while unloading yesterday) and tighten the front end up a bit. I will up the launch rpm from 4800 to 5500 and shift to 7400 from 6800.
I need to call long today and see if they make a setback shifter handle as I am so tall & I sit so far back in the car, 3rd gear has my arm at full extension (the one I broke that doesnt straighten fully) and it would be nice if the shifter set back 3 or 4" more.

Sounds like at the 10.0 1/4 easily?

That's what we figure. Some of the calculators are showing 9 sixties to 9 seventies but I think that is fairly optimistic. A 10.0 or 10 teen is closer to believeable.
Once this old goat gets used to the new car it should run a little better.

Little more room to work in that engine compartment than a ChevyII huh. I like an old shoebox, your's is definitely cool.

And to think there are guys that have never blasted a stick car down the track, and enjoyed that fun factor! :)
